Hello friends! I'm here to share a new fave/cheap toy I have for my DSLR! It's called a Light Scoop. Jess, from IROCKSOWHAT, introduced it to me. AND, it really does work. This little goody will work perfectly for the time since purchasing a speedlight is definitely not in my budget for now. So, Here's a little SOOC with my flash and SOOC with the speedlight.
I'm very excited to use this more! Perfect for my dark dark home. :D By the way: I bought mine on Amazon. For more info on the Light Scoop, check out their site. :)
this looks like an interesting accessory though I would suggest photographing the same subject in the same conditions. Maybe a non mooving subject would help as the cat (though beautiful and looking like a willing model) is not always positioned the same way in relation to the camera. Could you also indicate the settings of the camera/flash to better understand the effect of the accessory. Also the white balance seems to vary a lot. Could you write a little on that?
ReplyDeleteBest,

Yep, I need one. :)
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE MY LIGHTSCOOP ...BUT AFTER MANY MONTHS JUST STARTED USING MY SPEEDLIGHT AND LOVE LOVE LOVE IT...YOU MUST GET ONE!
ReplyDeleteI have a speed light, but you know there is a lot to learn about flash photography that I haven't taken the time to learn yet. I like the results of this light scoop and may have to look into it! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletecool, i wanna try it!!
ReplyDeleteLove my light scoop!
ReplyDeleteI'd like a bit more information. How do you use it? Does it physically attach to the camera in some way or do you hold it? And where do you hold it relative to the camera and the subject?
ReplyDeleteDo tell!!!
This sounds so cool! I have a DSLR, too, and I may have to experiment with one of these!
ReplyDelete*love* it! I have one of these - I used it for several months before Santa brought me my speedlight! I have to tell you, I was sooo impressed with that little lightscoop for the price, you can't beat it! It works rather well (aside from blinding the person in front of you when you lean down to take a picture LOL!)

Just added it to my amazon wishlist! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness that gadget is amazing! I hate it when I have to use the flash on my dslr because it's such harsh lighting, but this is awesome. You clearly know what you're doing on Photoshop, do you have any tips for starting at the beginning?! I'm trying to teach myself photoshop and it's so overwhelming. I'm definitely trying to improve on my photography and any tops or hints would help! :) love your pics.
