Chelsey - The Paper Mama
Contact: thepapermama@gmail.com
Hello! I'm Chelsey, The Paper Mama. I run and create and play on my blog: The Paper Mama. I have a little baby girl, Laureli (or Ruari as I mostly call her) that was born December 2009. She's a MAJOR inspiration in everything I do.

I've ALWAYS had a love for photography. But, didn't really get addicted until recently. Now my daughter is constantly being stalked by the Mama-razzi! Ha!

I went to school for interior design, which is where I got my first taste of Photoshop. One of my favorite things to do while Ruari is sleeping is to play around with my Photoshop CS3. I really believe that having a few basic editing skills can help anyone's photos. Just fixing a little exposure here, and some contrast there. That's all you really need. But, of course, I take it WAY too far and go all crazy.

I started this community to support and inspire other photography-aholics. You don't have to be a pro to take some amazing photos. You don't even have to have a top of the line camera. Please enjoy our little photography community.

In my bag: Canon Digital Rebel Xsi, Canon 50 mm f/1.4, EF-S 18-55mm lens, Canon PowerShot SD870, my iPhone, and PS CS3... want to update soon to CS5 .

Ashley - Ramblings and Photos
Contact: ashley.sisk@gmail.com
Hey! I'm Ashley Sisk and I'm the photography addict behind Ramblings and Photos. I'm married and have a cat named Kitty Paw that often makes appearances in my photos. I've had a love for art for as long as I can remember, but didn't formally find my way into photography until November of 2009.

My love affair with photography and editing began in high school. My mom encouraged me to really explore the arts. I feel so fortunate to have taken art, journalism and photography during high school. When I went to college, I pursued a degree in psychology but was able to get a taste of Photoshop by taking a graphic design course. Those basic lessons really stuck with me, so when I bought my first DSLR last year, everything came pouring back to me.

I share Chelsey's enthusiasm for this community. I hope that through this community, we can all learn and inspire one another to grow as photographers. If you ever have a question, don't ever hesitate to ask.

Cynthia - A Picture In Time
Contact: tia66m@gmail.com
Hi. My name is Cynthia and I’m a late bloomer in motherhood and in photography. When I became pregnant with my first child at age 39, I bought a Nikon D70 to capture my son’s early years. Eighteen months later, my second son was born. I have many photos of my first few years of motherhood but it wasn’t until the beginning of 2010 that I began exploring photography creatively. My photoblog, A Picture In Time, was born out of my new-found passion for photography. Picture Motherhood is my second photoblog, a 52-week self-portrait project.

I’m familiar with a number of photo editing software (through my former life as a Web Designer) but prefer to work with Photoshop Lightroom 3. However, I’ve recently been experimenting with other post-processing techniques using Photoshop Elements 8. In August 2010, I finally took the jump from shooting in Auto and P mode to shooting almost exclusively in Manual mode. So you see, older dogs can learn new tricks : ) Having said this, like Chelsey, I’m a firm believer that you can produce amazing images using what you’ve got. Some of my favourite shots were taken with a non-DSLR camera.

I am thrilled to be part of this community and look forward to sharing with and learning from all of you.

p.s., I’m Canadian so you will see a lot of Canadianisms in my writing.

Contact: mandychiappini@gmail.com
Hi! My name is Mandy and I can best be defined as a Wife, Mother & Photographer. I have 2 blogs. My personal Mama blog: A Sorta Fairytale where you will find a lot about my son, and some about me. Oh and lots of Photography as well. :-) I also have a photography blog used mostly for my client previews: Mandy Chiappini Photography.

I have always been snap happy, taking photos anywhere and everywhere I went. For my birthday, 3 years ago, my Husband bought me my first DSLR camera. It didn't take long before my hobby became my passion & my profession.

Since the birth of my son in Janurary 2010, my photography has been re-inspired in a completely different way and am always happy to share my knowledge of photography and editing techniques. I'm so happy to be a part of this photography community - to help inspire, and be inspired by other Photographers of all skill levels.

Rachel - And then, she {snapped}
Contact: andthenshesnapped@gmail.com
Hi! I’m Rachel and I am usually the one with the camera attached to her face.  I’m the wife to Chris, and the mom to Grace, Camden and Charlie.  I’ve had my big girl camera for a couple of years now.   I had been coveting a Nikon D60 for MONTHS, but was afraid to pull the trigger when my awesome husband (and kids) surprised me with it a few mothers’ days ago.  Seriously, the best.  present. ever.   I take tons of pictures, and I post at least one as the photo of the day (or POTD) on my blog, and then, she {snapped} every single day.  I’m excited to be a contributor to Paper Heart Camera and share some of the little tricks and tips I’ve learned over the past couple years.  I’m not a professional, that’s for sure, I just take pictures.  And love it.

Shaunna - Captivus
Contact: captivus86@gmail.com
Hola! I'm Shaunna. I'm a pretty rebellious woman who never wanted to settle down, but I just couldn't say no! I'm a faithful Californian. I have a history degree; however, I currently do not use that lovely piece of paper because of my beautiful little daughter who I insist on being home with until she starts her education. Until that sad day when I see her off to Kindergarten, I am using my love of photography as a part time job, Captivus Photography. I have 8+ years of experience that have taken me to the painful memories of the jellyfish infested waters of Thailand to the ancient crumbling walls of the Roman coliseum. I have done photoshoots for people all over the world, from my youngest brother's wannabe band group to a NATO Italian Colonel.

As for my gear, I have used it all! However, I favored my Sony a330 for a good couple years and captured breathtaking details throughout Vienna and Paris. However, I am currently shooting with a Canon 7D and have allowed my husband, who is a soldier in the U.S. Army, to takeover "Faithful Sony" in order to capture the beauty of the deserts in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, or where ever he is called [again]. I work with Photoshop CS5 and a few popular plug ins.

Alas, that's who I am: a woman who is constantly moving around the world--always with her camera in tow, who uses her daughter and husband as practice props, who is not using her hard earned degree, and is always complaining about having to think of something different to cook every day.

Christina — by lens or by brush
Hey there! I'm Christina Macaluso Hammock and I'm the artist behind By Lens or By Brush featuring cmh photography. I consider myself an artist. I graduated with a degree in studio art with a concentration in graphic design and minors in photography, art history and advertising. I've worked my entire career in graphic design, owning my own business — rsvp ink — since 2003. I've always been interested in photography but have to admit I spent a great deal of the past decade burnt out on it. It must have been the endless hours in the photo lab for years in college. I can still smell the chemicals! Ha! A little over a year ago, I decided to delve back in to photography. And I really dove in! Upgrading from my Canon Digital Rebel to the T2i and upgrading my lenses. It is now a part of my everyday and I love it! I divide my time between working on my photography, painting, graphic design, blogging and being mommy! I'm wife to my hubby, mommy to two precious and precocious little girls and animal mom to two Siberian Huskies, three awesome cats and one goldfish!

I'm so thrilled to be a contributor to this photography community! I've been watching Paper Heart Camera since it's start and it's such a wonderful place! I can't wait to share my tips with you and continue to learn from you! Feel free to contact me with questions anytime! Now, get out there and shoot and come here to share!

Audrey - The Daily Wyatt
Contact: dailywyatt@comcast.net
Hi! My name is Audrey. I am what I consider to be a newbie to photography. I Started my blog The Daily Wyatt Jan 2010 as a place to share what my life was all about with my husband Cody and son Wyatt. This past year I discovered my love for photography. As I begged my husband and drooled over other people pictures I finally got my Sony A550 in September along with Photoshop Elements 8 and have not put it down since.
I did take one photography course in high school but never really paid attention so I had to relearn everything I know by reading and learning from photography communities like this one.
I just started to shoot in manual and loved how much freedom that has given me and I have also become brave and started my own little photography business. I can’t wait to show and teach what I have learned and will continue to learn with all of you.

Jess - IROCKSOWHAT
Contact: jessica.malia.craig@gmail.com
Hiya! I'm Jess and I blog over at IROCKSOWHAT. I've been playing with my DSLR for about a year now and I'm still learning new things! I really believe that photography is all about the "eye" and not about the equipment. Some of my favorite photos are cell phone pics or P&S shots. My photoshop skillz are all self taught, googling whatever little information I do know or checking out Youtube for tutorials. The internet is a great place to learn whatever you want! I use photoshop CS5 and actually occasionally picnik.com too! I'm really down to earth about photography and believe that anyone and everyone can dabble in it! It shouldn't be as intimidating as it seems!

In my bag: I use a Canon DSLR T1i camera and f/1.8 55 mm lens (which I have yet to take off in the 6 months I've had it). I do own a telephoto lens and a kit lens but I pretty much never use them and don't even know their deets. :)I also use my Canon powershot P&S and my android cell phone camera. Like I said before, my editing software consists of photoshop CS5 and online freebie editing tools.

Hi. I’m alicia from project alicia. Feel free to call me lish. A late 30 something, mother of two, pinterest addict, and recent photo junkie currently navigating the uncharted tween years. Just a simple girl at heart. Chocolate, sappy chick flicks, and new shoes make me smile.

You rarely find me without camera in hand in some contorted position. Just ask my neighbors. My SLR awakened a new passion in me I didn’t know existed. At project alicia I share snippets of my work, much to my children’s dismay. You’ll also find scrapbooking attempts, tutorials, challenges, and a freebie or two when time allows.  I love the ability to transform an ordinary photo into a work of art. Gotta love digital photography!

I’m so  excited to be a part of Paper Heart Camera- A community for all levels of the spectrum to come together and learn from each other. Brilliant.

In my bag? Canon EOS 50D, Canon 50mm f/1.8, Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8, Tamron 60mm f/2 macro 1:1, Tamron 28-300mm, PSE 7 & 8, CS5, and tons and tons of actions and textures- PTM, M4H, PW, CoffeeShop, and Florabella to name a few.
